The Palm Springs Air Museum is holding a gala celebration of the
"Voices of Valor: A Tribute to the Greatest Generation"
February 8th, 2025 in Palm Springs, CA.
My father, Eliot Spiess was a pilot of a B-17 in the 96th Squadron of the 2nd Bomb Group of the 15th Air Force at Amendola Field of Foggia, Italy in the fall of 1944 during WWII. I am trying to locate as many first generation of veterans from 2nd Bomb Group or who might have flown in the 2nd bomb group.
My vision is to have as many first generation people as are willing to travel to Palm Springs, CA for a gala on February 8, 2025. That night will be to celebrate the 80th victory in Europe and will be titled "Voices of Valor: A Tribute to the Greatest Generation".
Seats are $525.00 with a significant portion being tax deductible contribution to the air museum. The museum has two B-17s including the Memphis Belle, several other flying WW-II planes including a C-47, P-51, a Spitfire as well as Pacific dive bombers.
The gala is always moving and poignant and very professionally done. Please contact me if you would like to attend and need more information.
